About the bookshop

What is Holy Grail Bookshop?

A digital bookshop curating the canonical works of the Western esoteric, philosophical, mystical, and historical traditions. We assemble themed collections — some narrow, some sweeping — and deliver them as instant digital downloads at fixed prices. No subscriptions, no rentals, no streaming.

What am I actually buying?

You are buying a curated collection — a thoughtfully assembled library of historical books, organised by theme, ready to read. Our work is the research, vetting, organising, and packaging. You receive the result as a single ZIP archive of clean PDFs.

How are the collections organised?

Three editions per theme — Initiate, Adept, and Master — plus the Full Library. Initiate (€9.90) is a focused study: a single author, or a single sub-theme. Adept (€19.90) is a broader anthology covering a movement or era. Master (€29.90) is the complete category. The Full Library (€49.90) is everything we ship across every category.

Delivery and downloads

How will I receive my purchase?

Instantly. As soon as your payment is confirmed, you receive an order confirmation email containing your download link. The same link is also available in your account at My Account → Downloads — log in any time to retrieve it.

What format are the books in?

PDF. Every collection is delivered as a single ZIP archive of clean, DRM-free PDFs that open on any device, any operating system, any reader application. A small number of works delivered via Project Gutenberg may also include EPUB or plain-text fallbacks where the original PDF was not available.

Why is there a download limit and an expiry on the link?

For your security and ours. Each download link has a quota of 5 downloads and remains valid for 30 days. This prevents leaked or shared links from being used indefinitely. If your link expires or is exhausted, log in to My Account → Downloads and click "Get a fresh link" — a new 5-downloads-30-days quota is generated instantly. Legitimate buyers are never locked out.

I lost my download. What do I do?

Log in to your account, go to My Account → Downloads, find the order, and click the download link. If the original link has expired, click "Get a fresh link" to generate a new one. Your purchase is permanent — you can re-download from your account for the lifetime of the shop.

Can I read the books on my phone or tablet?

Yes. PDFs open in the native readers on every iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux, and Kindle device. Apps like Apple Books, Adobe Acrobat, Foxit, KOReader, and PocketBook all open them without setup. Side-load a PDF onto a Kindle by emailing it to your @kindle.com address.

How big are the files?

Initiate collections range from roughly 100 MB to 1 GB. Master collections can reach 3–5 GB. The Full Library archive is several gigabytes. We recommend downloading on Wi-Fi.

Account and access

Do I need an account?

Yes. An account is created automatically at checkout using the email address you provide. You will receive a password-set link in the order confirmation. Your account holds your full purchase history and lets you re-download any collection you have ever bought.

How do I log in?

Visit https://holygrailbookshop.com/my-account/ and enter your email and password. If you have forgotten your password, use the "Lost your password?" link to reset it.

Can I share my account or my downloads?

No. Your purchase is licensed for your personal use only. Sharing the archive — uploading it to public file-sharing, torrenting, mirroring, or re-packaging it commercially — is a breach of our terms and may terminate your licence. The download links are also limited so that mass-sharing is technically constrained.

Payment, pricing, and refunds

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via WooPayments and Stripe, plus PayPal. All payments are processed by the payment provider directly — we never see, store, or hold your card details.

In what currency are prices shown?

Euro (€). VAT is included for EU consumers and shown separately at checkout where required.

Can I get a refund?

In short, no — all sales of digital downloads are final once the link has been delivered, in line with EU consumer law for digital content. The full policy is on our Refund Policy page. If a technical fault prevents you from accessing the file and we cannot resolve it, we will refund in full.

Will I receive an invoice?

Yes. Your order confirmation email is your invoice and contains the VAT breakdown where applicable. Belgian VAT applies. Invoices are also stored permanently in your account at My Account → Orders.

The books themselves

Do you write or publish these books?

No. We are curators, not publishers. Every work in our collections is a historical text. Our role is research, verification, selection, organisation, and delivery. The works themselves were written by their original authors, in their original eras.

Are translations of ancient works faithful?

We use the canonical scholarly translations: Jowett for Plato, Rawlinson for Herodotus, Crawley for Thucydides, Dryden / Clough for Plutarch, Mathers for the grimoires, Whiston for Josephus. These are the editions generations of English readers have learned through. We deliberately exclude commercial reprint editions whose translations stray from the canonical scholarly versions.

Do you endorse the views in the books?

No. The books are historical documents. They reflect the views of their authors and eras — some of which are factually wrong, ethically objectionable, or politically extreme by modern standards. We sell them as historical record for educational and scholarly purposes. We do not endorse, advocate, or recommend any view, ritual, instruction, or claim contained in any book we distribute.

Some collections contain dark or sensitive material. Why?

Because honest historical study requires engagement with the uncomfortable. Our Satanism & Demonology collection, parts of our Conspiracy & Hidden History collection, and the Nazism & Dark History bundle within our History collection contain primary-source documents preserved for serious researchers. Engage critically and in proper historical context, or do not engage with them.

Suggestions and contact

Can I suggest a book or a collection?

Yes, please. Many of our best collections came from reader suggestions. Send the title, the author, and any details you have via our Contact page.
